LIMESTONE
Formed at the bottom of lakes and oceans with the accumulation of shells, bones and other calcium rich sediments, limestone is hard and quite impervious to wear and abuse.
Limestone is the geological predecessor to marble, after it has been metamorphosed over millions of years of high heat and tremendous geological pressure deep witin the earth's crust.
